Claiming to be the gaming industry’s streamer “Rising Star” Xia Ri. Due to the decline in popularity, he played a popular Otome game recommended by his younger sister, but unexpectedly went into the game dimension. In order to return to the real world, he had to pass through all the obstacles.

You might want to change the tag from “Shoujo Ai” to “Shounen Ai”.

So the premise of the story was promising. Straight guy going into an otome game and slowly make the count fall in love with him. Could present some good scenarios. Unfortunately the story is a mess. There are times where it feels like chapters are missing, going from the end of one chapter to the start of another and then going back to make sure you didn’t miss a chapter so the transitions are done poorly. More importantly, the main character is an idiot. For a person who lives streaming games and calls himself a game expert, he is not aware of common story line tropes (like if a ice cold man had someone he held dear to his heart she is either dead or betrayed him) or even simple pop culture knowledge like vampires drink human blood. He is very annoying and constantly making himself a nuisance and can’t do anything on his own really. I forgive the other male characters falling for him anyway because it is an otome game he fell into, but he is just too pathetic. I wanted to stop at ch. 3, continued to 14. Last straw was the leg cramp and drowning trope. I always hated that trope because if you can swim decently, you just turn on your back and float while you stretch out the cramp or wait for it to pass. Normally I’d roll my eyes and read on, but his incompetance just made it too hard to read after that. I would have let it go if he was an indoor recluse or had some reason he did not interact with people often like he was sickly and never did simple chores and go to school, but being a healthy young man with a normal life who is into gaming had little excuse for me.
